Overview

Mammoth Headwear creates hats and headwear accessories for those with larger-than-average heads. Frustrated by the lack of options for big heads, Taylor Holst founded Mammoth Headwear out of a personal need. Mammoth is known for delivering products of the highest quality in design and build, and has captured the attention of many celebrities and athletes who recognize that size does matter.

Challenge

Already on a stable growth trajectory, Taylor wanted a marketing team that could handle multiple aspects of new customer acquisition and retention, so that he could continue to focus on other areas of the business.

The goal was to optimize for steady, profitable growth, and to make sure that total sales numbers did not grow at a rate that fulfilment could not keep up with. This meant that Mammoth needed a close partnership with a team that not only understands how to acquire customers and retain customers, but also can advise and help plan out future growth so that other areas of the business can grow at the same rate.

Solution

Hayes developed and implemented a paid ads strategy across Meta, Google and TikTok to continue acquiring new customers at target CAC, while also increasing ad spend at the same time.

The next phase of the strategy involved improving conversion rate, which was achieved with landing pages built around specific advertising angles, and by increasing conversion rate on the website itself through weekly A/B testing.

To increase customer repeat purchase rate and LTV, Hayes rolled out an email and SMS marketing strategy that included optimizing flows, establishing a consistent campaign sending cadence to specific audience segments, improving deliverability and more. A big part of building brand equity and customer loyalty was the creation of Mammoth’s Discord community, which Hayes helped strategize and launch.
